Giambusso, Deputy Director for Reactor Projects, L NORTilERN STATES POWER COMPANY (MONTICELLO) - DOCKET No. 50-263 REPORT ON OPERATION In accordance with previous practice and our verbal commitment to Mr. Ziemann, please find enclosed a report covering the operation of the Monticello reactor facility through May 1972.
The report was prepared in connection with the Northern States Power Company's request for a full-term Operating License. Based on our review and evaluation, Regulatory Operations has concluded that the Provisional Operating License can be converted to a full-term Operating License s
without undue risk to the health and safety of the public.
We will be prepared to discuss all items in the report at the time of the September ACRS meeting, along with the major findings from our recent management inspection at Monticello.
