August 22, 1972 Note to Yoss A. Moore, Jr., Chief, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems Branch, L The letter of Augise 24, 1972 frce Monticello on a " Report of a Change in Transient Analysis........" is undoubtedly not the reanalysis of the rod drop accident but a reanalysis of all transients (including rod drop, but that to handled by the topical report) affceted by a change in scram reactivity functions.
This will probab)y be similar to the submittal of Niagara Mahawk (Nine Mlle Point) of February 28, 1972, vbere "all" the transients were analyzed with a new scram function and new set points for valves, etc., derived.
A copy of that sulaittal and a subsequent reply to questions is enclosed.
