In draf ting a propeeed full-term operating license for Unit 1 of the Menticelle Nuclear Generating plant, _me find that item 2.C of the existing previstenal Operating License Ee. DPR-22 does not appropriately identify all quantities of byproduct materiale that are being used in connection with operation of the facility. Specifically, the existing license does not specify the total number of scurces for the 1.2 microceries per source of strontium 90 or for the 8 mierecuries per sonree of costum 137.
Upon checking your original appliestion for the byproduct materials '
dated Jeane 16, IM9, as amended pebswary 12,1970 May 4,1970, and July 8, 1970, we find that the June 16, 1969 applicatten specified thirty-six 1.2-mierecurie sealed neurces of streatium 90 to be used in a senser/ converter unit, and two 5-mierecerte sealed cestems 137 sources for use in the stack gas sample chamber.
