Reference 1) requested addressees to perform certain inspections of WestingL'use DS series circuit breakers used in Class 1E applications.
I Reference 3) provided TV Electric's interim response.
Reference 4) provided the results of the NRC's review of TV Electric's interim response.
Reference 5) provided TV Electric's final response for Unit 1.
provided below is TV Electric's final response to NRC Bulletin 88-01 for Unit 2.
TV Electric hss determined that there are a total of 46 Westinghouse type DS-416 breakers installed in Unit 2 Class 1E applications.
No other type DS or DSL breakers _ identified in reference 1 are used in Unit 2 Class 1E applications.
The pole shafts on all installed Unit 2 05-416 Class 1E breakers and spares have been replaced with new pole shafts from the
- vendor, The replacement pole shafts were receipt inspected and accepted per the short term and long term inspection requirements contained in reference 2 as modified by reference 1.
The_ alignment check specified by reference 2 was satisfactorily performed 6; ring'the installation of the replacement pole shafts in the breakers, f

4 TXX-92432 Page 2 of 2 Six of the removed pole shafts were inadvertently discarded prior to being inspected.
Of the 40 pole shaf ts which were examined. 38 were found to have welds which did not meet the criteria specified in Reference 2.
The 40 pole shafts which were examined have been discarded.
