Dear Members of the Board,
At -the prehearing-conference on May 1,
- 1985, a question arose regarding t.m generic findings both labelled 3.1(j) in the Quadrex Report.
CCANP had called attention to the fact that two findings were so labelled and that the Board's February 26 Order had carried forward the typographical error.
The Applicants questioned whether CCANP had in fact originally raised this finding in its November 21, 1981 filing, the basis for the listing in the Board's February 26 Jrder.
CCANP ' directs the Board's attention to peces 39 and 40 of said pleading. At page 39, the following appears:
L). An " abnormally high error rate was observed in Brown and Root calculations for the nuclear, as opposed-to the conventional, aspects of the engineering work."

Obviously the "Esic]" was to direct the Board's attention to the typograp'hi cal error and the finding itself is in "1".
At page 40, the following appears:
D.
There were no documented standards regarding the minimum qualifications required for a design verifier."

3-13 CCANP is at this point identifying the finding which in fact should carry the "j" designation.
