Dear Dr. Murley,
Reference (1) transmetted a proposed Amendment to the Technical Specifications (Appendix A) of Facility Operating Licensos DPR 29 and DPR-30 (Quad Cities Station, several administrative correction 3 to th(e affected Technical Specification pagesU L
l submitted in Reference (1). The af'ected pages are 3.2/4.2-11 for DPR-29 and-3.2/4.2-8 for DPR-30. Both of these are Bases pages.
1 On proposed pages 3.2/4.2-11 (DPR-24) and 3.2/4.2-8 (DPR-30), which were -
submitteci in Refarence (1), the followir.g statement was added:

" Ammonia, chlorine, and sulphur dioxide detection capability was added to.
the plant in response to the referenced study, in a report generated by Sargent and Lundy in May,1988, justification was provided and the chlorine and sulphur dioxide detectors were deleted from the plant."
l Based upon the refe'renced teleconferences, the following administrative changes were identified for this statement on both pages:
The date "May,1988" should be charged te ' April 1991". This char:9e reflects an updated report, and was c.>rrec* y identified in Attachment B (Description and Safety Analysis of the Poposed Changes) of Reference (1).
The clause"...and the chlorine and sulphur dioxide detectors were deieted.-
from the plant." should be changed to "...to delete the chlorine and sulphur cioxide detectors from the plant." This change clarlfles the intent and results of the April 1991 Sargent and Lundy report.
