DPR-71 & DPR-62 SUPPLEMENT TO REQUEST FOR LICENSE AMENDMENT ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROLS
Dear Mr. Vassallo:
By letter dated October 29,1984, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) requested a revision to the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit Nos. I and 2. The proposed changes incorporated new reporting requirements as defined by the Commission in Generic Letter 83-43. In addition, organizatio.;al changes made at Brunswick were reflected in the revised TS pages.
The NRC Staff has reviewed this request and determined that reference to Specification 6.6.1 in Specifications 3.3.5.8, 3.3.5.9, and 3.11.3 is inappropriate. The Company concurs with this determination. The events discussed in the Specifications would not be considered to be Reportable Events as defined by 10 CFR 50.73, therefore no specific relief from Specification 6.6.1 is necessary. Revised TS pages deleting this reference are included in Enclosures 1 and 2. In addition, a typographical error was found in Specification 6.13.2.a.1 ("or" was inadvertently written as "of"). These revised pages may also be found in Enciosures I and 2.
