VIRGINIA POWER NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 CHEMICALS USED IN THE SERVICE WATER SYSTEM In the December 5,1984 meeting between Virginia Poder and the NRC Staff, on mechanical cleaning of the North Anna service water system, the NRC Staff requested the composition of the chemicals that are being used in the service water system. This information was also requested by the NRC Staff in subsequent telephone calls. contains information on the Calgon CL-36, H-130 and the sodium hypochlorite treatments that are used in the service water system. This information -includes the chemical composition, system use and the quantities used. contains information on the Calgon TRC-256 treatments that are used in the service water system. This information includes the chemical composition, system use and the quantity used. Please note that this enclosure contains information proprietary to Calgon Corporation and is supported by an affidavit from Calgon Corporation, the owner of the information.
The affidavit sets forth the basis on which the information in Enclosure 2 may be withheld from public disclosure by the Commission and addresses the specificity of the considerations listed in paragraph (b)(4) of Section 2.790 of the Commission's regulations. Accordingly, it is requested that the information which is proprietary to Calgon Corporation be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10CFR Section 2.790 of the Commission's regulations.
