NRC LICENSED OPERATOR REQUALIFICATION PROGRAM REVISION HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCK ET NO. 50-354 Enclosed for NRC review, please find the Public Service Electric and Gas Company Nuclear Department Training Proce-dure TP-305HC, NRC Licensed Operator Requalification Pro-gram, which has been revised . The original procedure was submitted pursuant to Hope Creek Generating Station Safety Evaluation Report (SER) Open Item 12 (b) - Requalification Training Program, outlined in SER Section 13.2.1.2 (letter f rom R. L. Mittl, PSE&G, to A. Schwence r , NRC, dated December 28, 1984).

This procedure has been revised as follows to provide improved clarification:

o Identification of the requirements for licensed opera-tors who are enrolled in a training program for upgrade to Senior Reactor Operator to participate in requalifi-cation presentations covering industry related events, des ign changes , and areas involving plant operacions.

o Identification of specif ic ref erences to be used in structuring Fundamentals Review and more detailed iden-tification of pos s ible topics that may be included in Operational Proficiency is provided.

o Revision of the section covering Shif t Cycle Training to reflect completion of this segment of training. g 00' /

Director of Nuclear 2 4/26/85 Assurance and Regulation o Specification of the standard to be used in determining satisfactory completion of required plant evolutions on the forms used for this purpose (Form TP 305HC-3 and Form TP 305HC-4).

o Specification of the pre-examination criteria necessary to be achieved on a written segment examination that would allow a licensed operator required to be enrolled in the requalification program to be excused from that portion of the scheduled lecture series.

Additionally, minor grammatical correction and changes have been made. The righthand margin has been annotated with a solid, vertical line to identify all changes.
