Gentlemen:
l This letter provides supplementalinformation to an Application for Amendment to the Nine l
Mile Point Unit 2 (NMP2) Operating License NPF-69 which was submitted in a letter dated i
February 7,1996 (NMP2L 1605). The Application for Amendment contained a proposed l
change to the Operating License, the Technical Specifications, and the Bases that would l
convert NMP2 from Option A of Appendix J of 10 CFR 50 to Option B of Appendix J of 10 CFR 50. The supplemental information provided by this letter is in response to matters discussed with the Staff during telephone conferences.
i Enclosed as Attachment A is a revised proposed change to the Operating License, the j
l Technical Specifications, and the Bases. Attachment B includes a marked-up version of the revised proposed change to assist the Staffin its evaluation. Discussion of the revised I
proposed change as well as additionalinformation is also provided as Attachment C. The supplemental information continues to support NMPC's no significant hazards consideration provided in its proposed License Amendment to the Staff via letter dated February 7,1996.
