Interim 10CFR50.55(e) Report, " Main Steam Safety Valve Ring Setting Deficiency"

Dear Sir:

We previously reported in References (b) and (c) a potential 10CFR50.55(e) item to Region I regarding a possible deficiency in Crosby Main Steam Safety Valve ring settings. We are now in the process of developing test procedures, and will conduct the tests in the near future. We expect the tests to indicate the safety significance of the valve disc travel distance on our FSAR accident analysis assumptions. We will report to you the test results when we have completed our program.

Very truly yours, J.
