i APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO OPERATING LICENSE Pursuant to Section 50.90 of the Regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commissicn, Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, holder of Facility Operating License No. NPF-69, hereby requests that Section 6.2.2.i. of the Technical Specifications set forth in Appendix A to that license be amended. The proposed change has been reviewed in accordance with 7
Section 6.5, " Review and Audit," of the Technical Specifications.
The proposed Technical Specification change contained herein represents revision to Nine Mile Point Unit 2 (NMP2) Technical Specifications Section 6.2.2.i.

l NMP2 Technical Specifications Section 6.2.2.i. establiues the normal work hours for NMP2 operating personnel as, "...a normal 8-hour day,40-hour week..." The proposed change i
revises this section to provide for, "...an 8 to 12 hour1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br /> day, nominal 40-hour week..."

The proposed changes will not authorize any change in the types of effluents or in the l
authorized power level of the facility in conjunction with this Application for License Amendment. Supporting information and analyses which demonstrate that the proposed j
changes involve no significant hazards considerations pursuant to 10CFR50.92, are included as Attachment C.
Wherefore, Applicant respectfully requests that Appendix A to Facility Operating License No. NPF-69 be amended in the form attached hereto as Attachment A.
