Dear Mr. Thompson:
In compliance with 10CPR50.54 (1-1), the Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 Licensed Operator Requalification Program commenced January 8, 1985.
In meeting this commitment, Limerick Generating Station modeled its program after the requalification training program at Philadelphia Electric Company's Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. is the Licensed Operator Requalification Program for Reactor Operators and Senior Reactor Operators at Limerick Generating Station.
The program commenced January 8,1985, and will be conducted on a two year cycle.
One variation from the Peach Bottom requalification program will occur after the first annual examination is conducted in February / March, 1986.
Approximately one-half of the licensed operators will next be examined in September, 1986, and each September thereafter.
The remainder of the licensed operators will continue to be examined in March of each year.
This plan will ensure annual examinations whilo reducing the disruption to shift scheduling resulting from any retraining and re-examination which may required.
