SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE i
September 1992 l
The unit began the month at 65% (490 MWe). Repairs were being made to 11 Steam Generator Feed Pump (SGFP) seal water line.
Repairs were completed at 0100 on September 1, but power was held at 65% at the request of Electric System Operations. The unit was releted to raise power at 0500. 97% was reached at 1440 on September 1 and held there to continue core physics testing.
At 1520 on September 2, power was reduced to repair the 12 Heater Drain Pump mechanical seal.
The unit remained at 88% (740 MWe) until 2215 on September 5. Power was then raised to 97%
(810 MWe) for core physics testing, which was completed at 0540 on September 9,100% (825 MWe) was reached at 1420.
Power was reduced to 78% (650 MWe) at 1630 on September 13 to repair a tube side relief valve on 15A Low Pressure Feed Water Heater. The unit remained in a derate until 1330 on September 15.100% (835 MWe) was achieved at 1755 on September 15.
The unit ended the month at 100% (860 MWe).

SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE Sentember 1992 The unit began the month at 100% (825 MWe).
4 Power was reduced to 87% (705 MWe) from 0500 on September 26 to 05G on September 27 to repair 21 Heater Drain Pump, test Main Turbas valves and clean condenser waterboxes. While returning to full power, the unit was held at 95% (780 MWe) from 0845 to 1350 on September 27 to attempt repairs to 22B Amertap system. 100% (835 MWe) was reached at 1700.
An expeditious shutdown was commenced at 1010 on September 29 due to 23 Moisture Separator Reheater shell-side relief valve being stuck open. While reducing puwer, high temperatures alarms -
were received on the Main Turbine Rear Thrust Bearing Faces. The unit was manually tripped at 1141.
The unit ended the month in Hot Shutdown (Mode 4j.
