Dear Mr. Schwencer:
The reference letter provided Information for the Equipment Qualification Branch / Seismic Qualification Review Team regarding the threaded taper pins used in the HPCI and RCIC turbine assemblies. The reference letter conmitted to installing the taper pins before the RP" steam dome pressure exceeded 150 psig.
NUREG-0991, Supplement 3, Limerick SER, accepted our Justification and ccmnitment for deferred installation of the taper pins and stated that the installation of the taper pins must be confirmed in writing.
In accordance with our cmmitment,. and NUREG-0991 Supplement 3, pages 3-7 and 3-9, the threaded taper pins for the HPCI and RCIC turbines have been Installed.
