DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Unit 1 Inservice Inspection Summary Report Attached for your review are four copies of the report, " Inservice Inspection - Examination Summary, Prairie Island Nuclear Geaerating Plant - Unit 1, September 19, 1984 thru September 22, 1984".

This report summarizes the results of inservice inspection examinations performed to satisfy commitments made to the NRC Staff at a meeting in Bethesda, Maryland on February 8,1983.

Examinations were performed on circumferential pipe welds in portions of the Safety Injection system that were identified as containing stagnant cxygenated borated water, with selection based on those welds that are considered the most susceptible to trans-granular stress corrosion cracking.

The results of the ultrasonic examinations performed during this inspection revealed no relevant indications which might af feet the integrity of the system. However, a small leak was visually noted on the valve sida of a pipe-to-valve veld, in an area where ultrasonic examinations are impractical.

The through wall discontinuity was consequently weld repaired and further visual examinations of similar areas were performed with no evidence of leakage being observed.
