Dear Mr. Denton:

As discussed in the License Applfcation document for the Catawba Nuclear Station, the official schedule for construction completion on Catawba Unit 2 is October 1986; Duke has been working to an accelerated target schedule of October 1985. With Catawba Unit I complete and in startup testing, the remaining work activities for Unit 2 were recently reassessed. The revised target schedule for fuel load of Catawba Unit 2 is now January 1986. The License Application will be updated in the near future to reflect this revised target schedule.
