By letter dated October 5,1984, Carolina Power & Light Company responded to
. Generic Letter No. 84-15 (dated July 2,1984). In this response, we anticipated submitting a technical specification (TS) amendment request to
' reduce unnecessary diesel generator fast starts and improve the overall diesel
. generator. reliability by January 15, 1985. Due to the time required-to prepare a probabilistic. risk assessment (PRA) of the Brunswick diesel generator system and a TS amendment request based on the PRA, the Coupany cannot meet our original schedule. At present, we anticipate submitting.the proposed'TS amendment request by February 15, 1985.
