Dear Mr. Martin:
Enclosed please find two copies of the 1985 Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) calendar including information and instructions for use by residents of the ten mile Emergency Planning Zone in the event of an emergency at PVNGS. These calendars are provided for information and emergency planning use by Gail Temple and Ray Fish of your office.
These calendars were mailed to all households within the ten mile EPZ on December 18, 1984 and contain general information concerning nucicar power and nuclear power plants as well as the specific information regarding emergency preparedness for residents of the ten mile EPZ.
In response to a comment by a member of your staff arising from a review of last year's calendar, you will note that a specific reference has been made to radio station KTAR (620 AM) as the Primary Emergency Broadcast System station.
By copy of this letter we are also forwarding a copy of the calendar to Falk Kantor of the NRC lleadquarters office and John Sucich of the FDIA Region IX office.
