s OPERATIONS NARRATIVE Cooper Nuclear Station September 1984 The plant operated the month of September with one (1) unscheduled shutdown and no scheduled or unscheduled power changes.

An RCIC valve packing steam leak required the controlled shutdown of the plant. An orderly shutdown was commenced and the reactor was manually scrammed at 2106 on Septem-ber 15, 1984.

Due to the forced outage above, a management decision was made to remain shut down and to reschedule the commencement of the 1984 Refueling and Maintenance Outage to September 16, 1984.

A capacity factor of 28.7% was achieved for the month of September.
