Dear Mr. Keppler:

In Illinois Power Company letter dated July 20, 1984 (Ref:

Letter D. P. Hall to J. G. Keppler, U-10181) your office was provided an interim report addressing the status of the subject 10CFR50.55(e) investigation. It was anticipated at the time that an interim report would be provided in approximately ninety (90) days. '

Illinois Power Company is presently involved in evaluating the need to expand its investigation associated with the BAQA Vendor Surveillance issue. It is anticipated that approximately thirty (30) additional days will be necessary to complete our evaluation and provide an interim report on the issue.
