Illinois Power (IP) Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Recovery Program and Overinspection Program

Reference:

J. G. Keppler (Region III) to W. C. Gerstner, September 17, 1984; Baldwin Associates (BA) Field Verification /IP Overinspection

Dear Mr. Keppler:

This letter is to provide information on an IP decision to assume responsibility for execution of the HVAC Recovery Program and a portion of the Overinspection Program.

IP will direct that work in progress related to the HVAC Recovery Program by BA be completed and that thereafter IP will execute all activities previously required of BA for this program.

Additionally, IP will direct'that work in progress by BA related to the HVAC portion of the Overinspection Program be completed and that thereafter IP will execute all activities required to fulfill the commitments of this program for HVAC.

Specifically, in accordance with the provisions in the referenced letter, BA Field Verification inspection of HVAC will cease and IP will perform overinspection for 100% of the HVAC items encompassed within the scope of,the Overinspection Program.

Prior to affecting the above changes, applicable procedures will be revised, IP staffing will be increased to support the increased workload and personnel will receive training in the revised procedures as required.
