Dear Mr. Miller:

Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (RETS)

The Omaha Public Power District submitted Reference (1) seeking to anend the Fort Calhoun Station Technical Specifications pursuant to the dose design objectives of Appendix I to 10 CFR 50.

Subsequently, the District received a letter from the Commission, dated July 11, 1978, which provided additional gt idance on this subject.

In response to the Commission's July 11, 1978 letter, the District provided Reference (2) to supply additional information to support the Reference (1)

Amendment Application. During the ensuing years, extensive discussion and numerous meetings between the District and Commission staff have been held to resolve the RETS issues for Fort Calhoun Station.

In response to the Commission's letter on this subject, dated January 4,1984, and pursuant to the District's letter dated September 20, 1984, please find enclosed forty (40) copies of Attachments A, B and C containing the following information.
