20555 Dear Mr. Congelt Enclosed is a copy of the final drill report for the May 9, 1992, Klona-Benton Emergency Workor/ Assistance Contor Drill.
The Stato of Washington, Benton and Franklin Counties in Washington, and the Benton and Franklin Counties Chapter of the American Red Cross (ARC) participated in the drill.
The drill report was prepared in August 1992 by the Region X staff of the Fodoral Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The FEMA Rogion X staff will forward a copy of the report to the Stato of Washington.
The purpose of the drill was to ovaluato the capability of the Washington State Department of Health, the Benton and Franklin Counties Emergency Operations Centor, and the ARC to respond to a radiological incident at the WNP-2 Nuclear Power Plant which would require the activation of the designatad omorgency worker /assistanco center.
No Deficiencies were identified during the drill.
Savon Areas Requiring Correctivo Action (ARCA) and four Plan Issues were identified during the exercise.
FEMA's Region X staff will monitor the status of corrective actions r31ativo to thoso ARCAs and Plan Issues.
