1.
At about 9:00 a.m. on February 16, we will have a tornado drill. Mr. Emerson will give instructions over the PA system.
Check your teacher handbook for instructions. (kneel in hall s

2.
From this configuration (the tornado is gone, but has caused a fire), we will proceed to evacuate the building for a fire drill. Again Mr. Emerson will direct the drill over the PA.
3.
At some point during this time, Duke Power will sound their
]
Nuclear Emergency Sirens. Only selected classes will participate in this drill. Those selected will proceed innediately to the bus lot, board a bus, and go to a shelter.
Specific instructions will be given to these classes individually.
4.
After all drills are completed, an all-clear bell will be sounded and you will return to class.
5.
Second period teachers have been given a packet of information concerning Nuclear Emergencies.
This contains a letter and Einergency Plan booklet for teachers and a brochure and card for each student. Please read over this rnaterial and take a few minutes to go over it with your students.
Impress upon them the importance of their taking the brochure and card home. See that they complete the school portion of the card as follows:
