Our April 29, 1983, letter to the NRC indicated that the P-47 chillers on the Perry Nuclear Power Plant do not have automatic re-start features after a loss of off-site power (LOOP).
In that letter this item was considered potentially reportable. We have completed evaluation and have concluded that it is reportable under the provisions of 10 CFR Part 21.
Evaluation of applicability to other safety related systems on the Perry Project is being assessed during the continuing process of system finalization. Any similar instances identified in this process will be corrected.
