South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) is submitting this letter in response to the July 6, 1992, meeting held to discuss the status of the Technical Specification Change Request (TSCR) for an increase in Main Steam g

Safety Valve (MSSV) lift setpoint tolerance from 1% to 3%. The meeting was held at One White Flint North, in Rockville, Maryland.

In attendance were:

David Haile and Lou Cartin (SCE&G); Paul Roberts (Westinghouse); and George Wunder, Harvey Ableson, and Mark Caruso (NRC).

As a result of the meeting, a request was rnade of SCE&G to provide additional infcrmation to facilitate the review of its submittal. The attached proprietary and non-proprietary letter:, from Westinghouse supply the requestec' information.

Also, a request was made of SCE&G to commit to resetting the MSSVs to within 114 of setpoint if the as found lift pressure is discovered.to be greater than 13% during surveillance testing. SCE&G agrees with this commitment and hereby requests that this letter be accepted as a supplement to the original TSCR submittal.
