PUBLIC MEETING

SUMMARY

- VIRGIL C. SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION, DOCKET NO. 50-395, MEETING NUMBER 20200298 On April 2, 2020, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted an online virtual meeting concerning Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit 1. The purpose of the meeting was to provide opportunities for the public to discuss the annual assessment for the period of January 1, 2019 - December 31, 2019.

In response to the COVID-19 coronavirus and updated Federal Government guidance on travel and social distancing the meeting was held remotely through the Skype for Business application. The following documents related to the meeting are available in ADAMS: Meeting Notice (ML20091H575), Assessment Meeting Presentation (ML20091G723).

The meeting was conducted from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM local time. There were 59 attendees.

In summary, the attendees consisted of representatives from the NRC, Dominion Energy South Carolina, The State of South Carolina, and members of the public. Due to the nature of the meeting no official list of attendees is included. NRC staff were available for questions for 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br />. There was minimal interaction with the public which was consistent with the normal meetings conducted near the station. One member of the public provided feedback that they initially had trouble connecting to the Skype Application despite having successfully done so during prior meetings. Additionally, the meeting was listed in the Public Meeting Feedback System (PMFS) under Meeting Code 20200298 and upon submittal of this memo there were no public responses to the meeting. Recorded response IDs 618 and 619 had been recorded by me to test the functionality of the system.
