On January 9, 1992, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) met with the NRC to discuss the Virgil C. Summer Nuclea. Station (VCSNS) Steam Generator Replacement Prc.. ;t. At that time, the NRC requested that SCE&G submit information related to the design and fabricat' n of the Delta 75 replacement steam gener tor. [ Nuclear Station, provides a comparison of the current lodel 0-3 versus the Delta 75 design, performance, and operational characteristics. In addition, the Delta 75 materials of construction as well as manufacturing, weldir.g. and heat treatment processes are briefly described. Please note that this WCAP describes the Delta 75 design to data. Some minor changes may be made during design finalization and fabrication. If the NRC requires additional information on the Delta 75, it may be beneficial to meet with SCE&G and Westinghouse at the Westinghouse-Pensacola manC acturing facility. This would allow for a more detailed presentation / discussion of the Delta 75.

Also enclosed are a Westinghouse authorization letter, CAW-92-346, accompanying affidavit, Proprietary Information Notice, and Copyright Notice.

Since Item 1 contains information proprietary to Westinghouse Electric Corporation, it is supported by an affidavit signed by Westinghouse, the owner of the information. The affidavit sets forth the basis on which the information may be withheld from public disclosure by the Commission and addresses with specificity the considerations listed in paragraph (b)(4) of 10 CFR 2.790.
