VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 EXTENSION OF THE INTERIM RELIEF GRANTED FOR THE INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM FOR PUMPS AND VALVES Your letter dated April 17, 1984 granted interic relief, until December 31, 1984, for the North Anna Unit Nos. I and 2 proposed inservice testing program for pumps and valves. This interim relief was granted -based on your preliminary review of our submittal with the conclusion that the revised inservice testing program would further enhance safety.
We request that you extend the interim relief, as provided for in your letter, until such time 'that the North Anna inservic.e testing program for pumps and valves is approved. It is also our intent to submit additional comments on our proposed program in the near future as discussed in the NRC/Vepco/EG&G meeting held on November 29 and 30, 1984 in Bethesda, Maryland.
