QUAL 12 (Design Review)

Dear Mr. Schwencer:

The reference report, forwarded to you by Torrey Pines Technology letter dated December 12, 1984, notes that several actions being taken in response to Torrey Pines Technology Findings were inccrnplete at the time the report was prepared. The conclusions reached in the report are based on the satisfactory completion of activities which were fully described to Torrey Pines Technology and are outlined in the report.

This letter is to inform you that all of actions conTnitted to in response to Findings have been satisfactorily ccrnpleted as described; no further work is necessary in support of the Independent Design Verification Program.

Specifically, the actions being taken in response to Finding 016, 021, 023 and 024 were conpleted by Bechtel Power Corporation and doctsnented in a letter to PECo dated Noventer 30, 1984. The actions being taken in response to Finding 026 was completed by General Electric Company and doctsnented in a letter to PEco dated December 7, 1984.

, Noting that the final conclusions reached by Torrey Pines are based on the expectation that implementation of our action plans will not result in hardware changes, we wish to emphasize that no such changes were found necessary.
