Appeal from Initial Freedom of Information Act Decision
Dear Sir:
By letter dated August 23, 1983, I requested that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission provide me with copies of spe-cific records identified in such letter.
A copy of my Request is attached to this Appeal.
I was informed that my letter was received by the Commission on August 29, 1983.
As required by the Federal Freedom of Information Act, 5 USC S 552, as amended, and the Commission's regulations, 10 CFR S 9.9, the Commission shall respond to Freedom of Information requests for records withir. ten working days.
Failure to do so may be treated by a requester as a denial of the request (10 CFR S 9. 9 (e)).
As of the date of this letter, I have not received a response from the Commission concerning my request for records dated August 23, 1983.
Therefore, I hereby appeal the denial of my request.
