I hereby request, pursuant to the federal Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. S 552, as amended, that you provide me with copies of records as identified in the following paragraphs. As used herein, the term " records" means originals, and copies of originals when originals are not available, which are in the possession, custody,

or control of the United States Nucleaf Regulatory Commission, or any of ficer , director , agency or employee thereof, including, but not limited to, memoranda, notes, correspondence, agenda of meetings, minutes of meetings, outlines, studies, analyses, reports, diaries, tran-scripts, tapes, microfilm, and photographs as well as records suf ficient to identify the time and place of oral communications.

I hereby request that you make available the following records:

Vogtle Nuclear Plant Units Nos. 1 and 2 (also referred to as the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant) , conducted at any time during the time period beginning April 1,1983 and ending on the date of this letter. The Alvin W. Vogtle Plant is referenced in some Nuclear Regulatory Commission records as " Docket Nos.

50-424 and 5-425" and is located in Burke County, Geo rg ia . Mr. R. H. Burch of the Nuclear Regula-tory Commission's Office of Investigations may have the custody of, or know the location of, several of such records, including records which review the activities of the Site Resident Manager of Pullman Power Products Corporation, a contractor of Georgia Power Company conducting process piping erection work at the Alvin W.

Vogtle Nuclear Plant, as such activities may af fect the independence of workers involved in verification of acceptable workmanship and such records are included in this request.

2. Records which refer, analyze, or rel. ate to information obtained during the investigations or inquiries or interviews identified in 1 1.

3. Records which refer to, relate to, or reflect the conclusions of any representative of the United States Nucle.ar Regulatory Comgission with respect to information obtained in the investigations or inquiries identified in 1 1, including conclu-sions relating to termination or expansion of an investigation or inquiry.

4. All records relied upon in formulating the conclusions referred to in 1 3.

5. Records developed or obtained during or resulting from interviews of individuals conducted ~in the course of the investigations or inquiries or interviews identified in 1 1.

For each record referred to in the above requests which is alleged to be wholly or partially exempt from disclosure under the provisions of 5 U.S.C. S 552(b),
