License NPF-30, enclosed are five copies of the report " Phase II Testing at Sites 23CY-20, 23CY-352, 23CY-359, Union Electric Company's Callaway Nuclear Power Plant, Callaway County Missouri". This report is the product of the Phase II ,

archaeological investigation of three sites at Callaway. These  !

three sites were investigated using Phase I testing techniques and.were determined to be potentially eligible for nomination to '

the National. Register of Historic Places (NRHP) . These sites' also fell within the area of potential environmental impact at the Callaway Plant. Therefore,-these site 3 were tested using Phase II archaeological techniques to determine their NRHP eligibility. i i

Our consultant, American Resources Group, has determined  !

that these sites are eligible for nomination to the NRHP. Copies  !

of the enclosed report and completed site nomination forms have been sent to the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). A copy of the transmittal letter to the SHPO is enclosed.

No adverse impacts due to operation and maintenance'of the Callaway Plant are foreseen for these sites. These sites, as well as all other sites that were determined to be potentially significant during the Phase I study, will be protected according ,

to the Callaway Cultural' Resource Management Plan. This report l was forwarded.to your office in latt 'tay of 1984.
