Dear Mr. Hunter:
Emergency Preparedness The Omaha Public Power District received Reference (2) which conc.erned an offsite emergency preparedness Class A deficiency for the State of Iowe identified by FEMA during the emergency exercise of Octo'>er 24, 1984.
The District subsequently con-tacted Mr. J. B. Baird of your office regarding this matter.
This letter serves to formalize the discussion held.
Specifically, it was stated that based on NRC review of the FEMA Class A deficiercy, the item was not classified as a significant deficiency. We therefore underst&nd that there is no 120-day requirement to resolve this deficiency.
The District is currently working with the State of Iowa toward time %r resolution of this matter.
To date, two training sessions have been held with the State of Iowa and a drill is scheduled for April 8, 1985.
