Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.1 and No. 2 BV-1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 BV-2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 Revised Annual Report of Challenges to the Pressurizer Power Operated Relief Valvca or Safety Valves This is a revised report to the Duquesne Light Company submittal dated February 9,1994, which was submitted in accordance with the Beaver Valley Power Station Unit Nos. I and 2 Technical Specification 6.9.1.5.b.

Unit 1:

i There were two challenges to the pressurizer power operated relief valves (PORVs) at Unit I during the period of January 1,1993 to December 31,1993.

June 10,1993 Plant Conditions:

Mode 4, Reactor Coolant System (RCS) pressure was 380 psig, Overpressure Protection System (OPPS) was not in service. A cooldown to Mode 5 was in progress.

Summary:

Pressurizer Power Operated Relief Valve, PCV-RC-455C, momentarily opened while attempting to place OPPS in service. OPPS was placed into service while RCS pressure was in the " trip-reset" region for comparator operations for the PORV.

November 7,1993 Plant Conditions:

Mode 4, Reactor Coolant System (RCS) pressure was 385 psig, Overpressure Protection System (OPPS) was not in service. A cooldown to Mode 5 was in progress.

Summary:

Pressurizer Power Operated Relief Valve, PCV-RC-455C, momentarily opened as OPPS was placed into service, reducing RCS pressure by 6 psig.

OPPS was placed into service while RCS pressure was in the " trip-reset" region for comparator operations for the PORV.

There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety valves during the period.

Unit 2:

There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety or power operated relief valves at Unit 2 during the period of January 1,1993, to December 31,1993.
