Gentlemen:

During the March 29, 1985 telephone conference call (Tr.

2150-51), Judge Gleason requested that Applicants report back to the Licensing Board with an agreed-upon schedule of witness-es for the upcoming hearings on Issue Nos. 1 and 16. The par-ties have conferred and propose the following:

Issue #16 Issue #16 will be the first issue to be heard in the hear-ings commencing April 9, 1985. It is expected that the hearing on this issue can be completed in two days. Applicants' wit-nesses will testify first. Staff's witnesses will testify sec-cnd. The parties understand that Dr. Spencer H. Bush, one of staff's witnesses, will not be available after Friday, April 12, 1985, and we ag-*e that Dr. Bush will be allowed to testify early if that is reg _ed to meet his schedule.

Bright April 1, 1985 Page 2 Issue #1 Issue #1 will be heard at the completion of testimony on Issue #16. The parties expect to be able to commence hearings on this issue on April 11, 1985. Applicants' witnesses will testify first, Sunflower Alliance's witnesses will testify sec-ond, and the NRC staff's witnesses will testify third. Howev-er, to accommodate witnesses' schedules, Sunflower's witness, Dr. Robert L. McTrusty, will start his testimony (out of se-quence, if necessary) on Thursday morning, April 11, 1985, and Applicants' witness, Dr. Roger E. Linnemann, will testify after Dr. McTrusty so that Dr. Linnemann can complete his testimony by the end of Friday, April 12, 1985.

The parties understand that the hearings will continue the week of April 15, 1985, if necessary.
