69 Indian Point Unit 2 was operating at 100% reactor power at the beginning 1
of the report period. On Feburary 2, power was reduced and the reactor

y manually tripped to investigate and correct a problem with the hydrogen j seal oil unit of the main generator. The Unit was returned to service ry y the following day and power gradually brought up to full load conditions.
a; 4
~s y On February 4, No. 22 main boiler feedwater pump tripped automatically 9
+ while the Unit was operating at 100% licensed reactor power. In the q course of reducing power to compensate for the reduction in feedwater
', flow, the reactor tripped on high pressurizer pressure. At the time of
,s d
d the event, the control rods were in the manual mode and the block valves 8, associated with the pressurize power operated relief valves were closed.
h,.
9 d Unit 2 was returned to service on February 5 and on February 6 reactor l
x power was increased to 100%. Full power was maintained for the remainder of the report period except for brief redu7tions on February 13 to 88% to j perform corrective maintenance on the hydrogen recombiners, and on 1
i 3j February 28 to 95% due to a temporary reduction in condenser vacuum.
