Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Technical Specification Change Request No. 121 In accordance with 10CFR50.59,10CFR50.90 and 10CFR50.91, GPU Nuclear Corporation, operator of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station,
- Provisional Operating License DPR-16~, hereby submits Technical Specification Change Request No. 121. This change-responds to the letters from D.M.
Crutchfield to P.B..Fiedler dated January 13, 1984 regarding the Mark I.
Containment Long Term Program at Oyster Creek. -
Technical Specification Change Request No. 121 involves changes to Section 3.5.A.9 and bases, Section 4.5.P, and Figure 3.5-1.
The intent of'these changes is to delete the requirement for maintaining a drywell to suppression chamber differential pressure. The' limiting conditions for operation and surveillance requirements for drywell to suppression chamber differential pressure control and suppression pool water level were incorporated in the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Technical Specifications as part of the Mark I Short Term Program in order to ensure the structural and functional capability of the containment suppression chamber and attached piping under suppression pool hydrodynamic load conditions. With the successful completion of the. modifications associated with the Major Mark I Long Term Program for the Oystet. Creek Nuclear Generating Station there is no f.urther need for maintaining a drywell to suppression chamber pressure differential.
This Technical Specification Change Request No. 121 has been reviewed in accordance with Section 6.5 of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Technical Specifications.
