Supplemental Interim Finding on Commanche Peak Steam Electric Station Offsite Radiological Emergency Plans and Preparedness Attached is a supplemental evaluation of the State of Texas and Hood and Sommervell Counties offsite radiological emergency preparedness plans site-specific to the Commanche Peak Steam Electric Station. This finding was pre-pared by Region VI of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The review of the plans was based on Section II (A through P), Planning Stan-dards and Evaluation Criteria, NUREG-0654/ FEMA REP-1, Rev. 1.
Based on this current review, our earlier interim finding submitted to the Nuclear Regula-tory Commission on September 29, 1982, and the results of the exercise on December 14, 1983, offsite radiological emergency plans and preparedness for the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station have been determined to be adequate.
Consequently, there is reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of the public living in the vicinity of the Ccmmanche Peak Steam Electric Station.
