CORRECTIVE ACTION STATEENT TRANSAE RICA DELAVAL DIESEL GENERATOR-THRUST BEARINGS Corrective Action:
Because of 'the different piping arrangements used for each diesel, Transamerica Delaval, Inc. (TDI) intends to perform a plant unique analysis after the engine and the associated equipment has been installed.
Where the lube oil piping system is being flushed, TDI will install temporary drip lube oil piping for the turbocharger thrust L
bearing to determine the actual size and arrangement of the permanent drip lube oil piping for the turbocharger thrust bearing.
The TDI service personnel assigned to the Vogtle site will perform the above activities.
Georgia Power Company is responsible for ensuring the corrective action is properly performed.
Georgia Power Company expects to have the corrective action completed by June 1, 1985.
