McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370
Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
By letter of April 14, 1984 from H. B. Tucker to J. P. O'Reilly, in response to IE Inapection Report 50-369/83-12 and 50-370/83-16, Duke Power committed to com-plete a revision to the Fire Protection Review (FPR) concurrent with the update of the Final Safety Analysis Report. The updated FSAR is scheduled to be issued in August, 1984. However, a Fire Protection Inspection will be conducted by Region II staff in late September. The possibility exists that items may be identified in this inspection which would necessitate further revision to the FPR. Therefore, it is considered advisable to delay issuance of any revision to the FPR until the results of the inspection are evaluated. This is expected to take about a month. The review and revision to the FPR will be completed by December 1, 1984.
