Dear Mr. Briam:
Pursuant to NUREG-0654, Revision 1, Appendix 1, the following is a sumary report concerning an Unusual Event at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant site.
On February 13, 1985, a " Steam Line High Delta-P" safety injection signal was received. The safety injection signal caused the Emergency Core Cooling System to initiate and discharge to the Reactor Coolant System.
The cause of the event is still being investigated.
An unusual Event was declared by ti.e Shift Foreman at 0050 hours5.787037e-4 days <br />0.0139 hours <br />8.267196e-5 weeks <br />1.9025e-5 months <br /> and emergency notifications were started. Af ter the protection system completed its safety functions, all systems were returned to their nonnal status.
The Unusual Event was concluded at 0118 hours0.00137 days <br />0.0328 hours <br />1.951058e-4 weeks <br />4.4899e-5 months <br />, February 13, 1985 and all response organizations were notified. This event has in no way affected the health and safety of the public and no discharge of radioattive materials were made to the environment.
