193, Deletion of Fire Protection Requirements from the Technical specifications (TS)
On April 20, 1992, GPU Nuclear Corporation,-licensee of the Cyater Creek Nuclear Generating Station, submitted the above amendment to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Consistent with the requirements in NRC Generic Letter 8P-12, H Removal of Fire Protection Requirements from Technical Specificatiors", this TBCR prcposes to (1) rsmove requirements for fire protection systems from the Ts, (2) remove fire brigade staffing requirements from the TS, and (3) revise the administrative controls ir. the TS to support the fire protection program. The requirements being removed from the TS have been incorporated into the OCNGS fire protection program.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Energy's Bureau of Nuclear Engineering (BHE) reviewed the subject amendment in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR50.91 (b).
Based on this review, the BNE does-not have any comments on the proposed license change request.
