.I Gentlemen:
. This is to inform you of our intention to extend closum of the Generic Letter 89-10
~ program to December 28,1995. This closure date madjustment is caused by the relative size of the McGuire GL 89-10 program (433 valves), additional valve testing in progress -
and development of analysis techniques for the mmaining butterfly valves. Currently, Unit 1 outage is scheduled for December 8th/1995 through January 19th,1996. The Unit i
2 outage is presently scheduled for March 20,1996 through May 13th,1996.
Considering these outage' dates, a time frame after June,1996 for the GL 89-10 closure inspection is suggested.
