Dear Sir:

Reference (a) documented the results of the inspection conducted by Mr. L. E. Vorderbrueggen between April 2 - May 31,1984. One violation was idantified during the course of this inspection.

Reference (B) documented the results of the inspection conducted by Messrs. P. Narbitt, C. Clark, R. C. Sorenson, and D. Hollenbach between July 9-13, 1984. Two violations and two deviations were identified during the course of this inspection.

In addition, several related unresolved items were documented.

Drie to the extensive investigation and evaluation required to adequately determine the root causes and subsequent corrective actions for the above items, APS requests an extansion of our reaponse time to September 12, 1984.
