.- requirements of NUREG-0588 for. qualification. As a result of a recent nonconformance report which identified an event that would increase the l

l temperature 11mits in the. steam valve vault rooms, six main steam line 1

pressure.transai.tters (PT 1-2B,,-9A, -98,.-20A, -20B and -27B) have been

determined to be unqualified. Additional background information and a

..taindent. We are therefore requesting an extension for qualification of e

' these: components for unit 1 until the end of the cycle-3 refueling outage

presently' scheduled to begin.in June 1985.. This schedule relief request' is-f;_,

the same as that previously granted TVA on April _11, 1984. For unit 2, we-

plan to rwsolve this issue before startup' from-the next refueling outage,

' presently scheduled to begin September 21, 1984.
