McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Generic Letter 89-10: Motor Operated Valve Testing Notice of Program Closure Gentlemen:
Pursuant to the requirernents of 10CFR 50.4 and NRC Generic Letter 89-10, McGuire Nuclear Station wishes to inform you of completion of Generic Letter 89-10 requirements. This includes all initial testing and validation efforts to verify the capability of safety-related Motor Operated Valves (MOV's) to perform their safety function and/or to operate under design-basis conditions. The program at McGuire included a total of 429 safety-related motor operated valves.
As stated in our letter dated September 27,1995, the 1/2EOC10 outages are scheduled for completion on May 13,1996. Therefore, McGuire suggests a time frame after June 1, 1996 for the NRC inspection of GL 89-10 closure.
