SPECIAL REPORT CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT 2 Vibration and Loose Parts Monitoring System Channel 7 On March 3,1992, Channel 7 (Steam Generator C) of the Vibration and Loose Parts Monitoring System was declared inoperable because a signal was not present on the channel. A work request was written to repair the channel during a future outage of sufficient length. This is being scheduled for an outage because a containment entry is necessary to make the repair.
Since the channel has been inoperable for more than 30 days, it is reportable to the NRC pursuant to Technical Specification 3.3.3.9.
