Catawba Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50413 and 50-414 Technical Specification Amendment Request Technical SpeciGcation 3.6.5.5 (PZR Hatch)

Duke Power's letters dated March 18,1992 and March 24, 1992, requested that a waiver of compliance from TS 3.6.5.5 be granted to allow radiography of the PORV block valves to verify their position. These waivers were granted by letters from the Region dated March 20,1992, and March 24, 1992.

Duke Power is requesting that TS 3.6.5.5 be modified to allow a pressurizer hatch to be open for up to 6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br /> to facilitate future inspections. An evaluation is included pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 which concludes that this change involve? no significant hazards.

Attachment I contains the marked-up Technical Specification. Attachment 2 contains the _

Technical JustiGcation and No Significant Hazards Analysis.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91 (b)(1) the appropriate South Carolina Official is being provided a copy of this amendment request.
